lace bachelorette party
hollyshower04
last nite we threw a little bachelorette party for my mom's best friend. it was VERY last second and quite rushed so i wasnt able to do everything i wanted to do.... but i loved the lace theme and cant wait to use it again. especially the technique i used to make those chocolate doilies on the cupcakes. its just melted chocolate chips, piped free hand, onto parchment paper and then chilled.

my mom and holly. holly is getting married in a couple of weeks and we are so incredibly happy for her.

the dessert table.

becky's amazing lemon bars, my lace cupcakes, and megan's fabulous bra sugar cookies. she made those by hand! (no cookie cutter)

the appetizers. sugared nuts and glazed smokies.

then it was on to the game! wedding nite pictionary. very fun but too g-rated for my taste.

the group still managed to have a few laughs.

especially when i came out dressed as holly's fiance, john. and lip synched to next's too close. everyone was very creeped out that i knew e-ver-y word. uh duh. i was in middle school in the late nineties.

i made little cones out of mini doilies and put them around each light on the strand. it was so easy and made such a fun effect. same with the lace votives. very easy (got all the supplies at value village) but very pretty.
