5. wrinkles much?

DSC_0914
6. tina fey prolly should not have worn a dress wherein she had to adjust EVERY one second.

newyork01
7. speaking of mizzzz liz lemon..... here's the home of my favorite show.

newyork04
8. the fabulous subway. would choose subway over taxi any day.

DSCN1143
9. THE most amazeballs pizza we have ever consumed.

newyork06
10. it might be cliche that the best pizza was under the brooklyn bridge. cliche but true.

newyork10
11. outside powerhouse arena. fun, but semi r-rated bookstore.

DSC_1023
12. my mom's attempt to take the same picture of me. apparently the fedex truck was more important to her than the bridge.

DSCN1153
13. walking around greenwich village.

DSCN1155
14. doing things we wouldnt do back home.

DSCN1176
15. doing things i WISH we could do back home. like shop at the coolest trimmings store on the planet.

DSCN1177
16. feeling the ghost of fashion weeks past.

DSCN1156
17. after the best (and MOST expensive) meal of my life. lobster rolls to die for.

DSC_1037
18. attending a broadway show. at first, just to mock.....

DSCN1168
19. but then we ending up loving it. who could mock this face?

DSC_0988
20. the longest escalator. look how tiny my mom looks.
DSCN1181
21. a little bit of bergdorf.

DSCN1179
22. this hat in the BG christmas room was over $400! so we just bought the smallest ornaments possible just so we could get the shopping bags.

DSCN1159
23. balthazar.

DSCN1173
24. new favorite, momofuku milk & bakery. i look like i kill people. which i would, if they got in my way of these cookies.

newyork05
25. my rain boots. these puppies did their job well.

newyork11
26. spending a touristy nite in times square.

newyork12
27. shopping.

newyork13
28. gorgeous store displays.

newyork14
29. some of my loot from the big city.

DSCN1171
i honestly wish i could live in new york. but visiting with these two is the next best thing. thank you, mom & megan, for some of the best couple days of my 25 years.

*post post*
my mom, shelly, birthday girl, me & megan. what a fun party!

jessica & me. i love when this lady gets to come visit.

fifty fabulous years of becky
DSC_0915
last week, my mom & megan's good friend, becky, (who also happens to be my friend, jessica's, mom) turned 50. so we got together and decided to throw her a surprise party.

DSC_0892
it was A LOT of work. but a whole lot of fun. we love entertaining. or as jocelyn says, "making a big deal out of every occasion."

DSC_0929
we even go a florist for the party. i pretty much just fulfilled any left-over dream i had from my own wedding reception. which was also held in this amazing little venue.

DSC_0924
megan did the food. she is quite the gourmet and everything turned out great.

DSC_0938
the guests chowing down on the food. seriously, you know its good when all the plates came back to the kitchen empty.

DSC_0935
my mom and dad.

DSC_0937
me and craig.

DSC_0955
after dinner..... there was ENTERTAINMENT. to say the least......

DSC_0980
becky's husband, jon, belted out simply irresistible. the back up dancers were huuularious. they all took their "job" very seriously.

DSC_0900
after the program, we served homemade pies with FRESH apple cider. fresh because there was a freaking apple press in the back yard!

DSC_0942
more guests enjoying themselves.

DSC_0986
ok, ok. so we went a little overboard with the whole menu..... because after pie and cider there was donuts and hot chocolate. but to my defense, the donuts and hot chocolate were the party favors. so they could have been eaten later on.....

DSC_0949
overall, it was a blast. but the best part of the nite was that becky was ACTUALLY surprised and had a fabulous time.
