camping. and i mean camping.
a few weeks ago we went camping with the gessels and thompsons. it was very fun.
the drive through the mountains to get to the campsite was beautiful.
once we arrived, matt set up his fancy bbq and we had a seriously delicious meal. cool boy sweats!
tagg was so excited about his banana boat he couldnt stand still for a picture.
once the kids went to sleep we stayed up suuuuper late roasting smores and listening to matt's crazy stories. just look at our faces.
the girls. we have so much fun together. even when outhouses are involved.
the group the next morning. not too shabby for roughing it! we had such a great time. lets do it again.
tagg at scout camp
tagg attended scout camp for his first time this summer. he had a blast. they were long days (1.30pm-9.30pm) but he loved every second.
i mean guns and twinning nikes? a good time.
they had so many cool projects for the boys. this was them shooting off their bottle rockets.
the favorite project? this DIY hexbug. so freaking awesome.
hes getting so old. stop it.

the fourth
we had a wonderful fourth of july this year. tess was especially feeling it in her patriotic outfit.
of course we hit up the bothell parade. sooooo much entertainment and candy. win win. grateful to rod who sets out the chairs on main street A WEEK IN ADVANCE so we get prime viewing.
later that afternoon we went to our friends' lake house to enjoy dinner, puppies, bon fires, and boys jumping on the dock with scooters.  tess loves ga!
i had a ton of fun baking and decorating these flag cookies. and eating them.
another great fourth!

BRASADA
my mom had been telling us about this fantastic resort down near bend, oregon for a long time. we decided to try it out after school got out for the summer. the drive was a solid six hours but sooooo worth it. the property, service and accommodations were 100%.
the moment we pulled in we threw on our swimsuits and headed to the pool.
we had so much fun sharing the house and the weekend with brady, jocelyn and their kids. everyone played very well together. and the kids got along too. har har.
the next morning, more pool.
and games by the pool.
tess would live in the water if she could.
the kids LOVED the water slide. and had a blast going down together.
and sipping pina coladas poolside. rough.
that evening we had dinner at the ranch house and strolled around the property.
then, after much persuasion, the men roasted us marshmallows.
these homemade smores at brasada are life. changing.
tess is like "tucker, get your own smore".
so dang cute.
not as dang cute.
more pool stuff.
and waterslides with pretty mountains in the background.
two thumbs up for brasada.
sharing pina coladas in the jacuzzi.
the two babies. georgie really wanted tess' popsicle sandals. i dont blame him. i want a pair for myself.
only taking breaks to sip some drink.
COWBOY CAMP! the older kids had the opportunity to spend the evening riding horses, making dinner over a campfire, playing games and basically being cowboys. they had such a great time.
fourth of july pajamas and festive candy necklaces. my kind of morning!
laying out with my bf.

more slide time. tess is fearless.

me and my guuuuuurl.
seriously brasada was amazing.  we loved it and cannot wait to go back.
