sully, blessed.
this past sunday, we blessed our little sully. craig did a beautiful job and sully didnt cry one bit (even though two seconds into the blessing he spit his sussy out!)
craig's mom, dad and sully. we are so incredibly lucky to live close to both of our families. i dont know what i would do without them.
after all the thought and effort (not to mention $) i put into making my family look presentable for the event, of course my two year old is shoe-less for the pictures. of course.
also, a couple nites ago, my mom had a few of her friends over to meet sully. so naturally, we had to make some treats....
some of the treats. we really dont know the meaning of low-key.
the proud (pink! i had another boy, guys....) grandparents.
my handsome tagg. i love this boy so much.
how many girls can fit in a chair? hanna, emily, me, megan and emery. taking the idea of a love seat to another level.
ok. so this is what people dont see. the before (notice: sully's wonky eyes, my about-to-possibly-say-a-bad-word face, tagg wanting to kill someone and craig being over it)
and the after. much better. good times. we love you sully!

its that time of year again
senior picture time! the weather cooperated for all of about two hours (exactly the two hours we were taking portraits. lucky!) last saturday so i was able to get some purty shots of lissy.
it helps when the subject is so gorgeous! i had been out of the photography game for a little bit because of my new cherub so i was happy to get behind my camera again.

my little peanut
i guess all these posts answer the question of what tagg and i have been doing the last four weeks: staring at sully!
a boy and his sussy. is it sad that we have to color-code the sussies because my two and a half year old is still using one? yes. but not sad enough to do something about it.... yet....
i dont really do nude-y shots of babies. so this is as close as i come. this picture makes me just want to squeeze him.
why is the universe so cruel? newborns LOVE being on their tummies but then there's the whole SIDS paranoia.... guess its right up there with why good food is so bad for you. (speaking of: i have already downed three bags of candy corn this season. yup. three.)
eyes open.

little bit obsessed
the day i brought sully home from the hospital, becky had this dessert waiting on my doorstep. i INHALED pretty much the entire 9x9 pan and immediately called her for the recipe. i even ventured to the redmond farmers market to get organic (gag me. but really organic fruit is quite tasty) peaches and blueberries to make my batch with. i have made this dessert at least five times in the last two and a half weeks. its that good.peach & blueberry crisp
fruit part
4 mondo-size peaches (or 7 regular ones)
1/2 pint blueberries
2 tablespoons corn starch
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
topping
1/2 cup room temperature butter
1/2 cup flour
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup high quality oats
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
preheat oven to 350 degrees. peel and slice peaches and place into 9x9 inch baking dish. mix corn starch, sugar, and cinnamon (i am not a cinnamon girl so i was hesitant to use any.... but trust me, it makes it) in a separate bowl and toss in with peaches. add blueberries to peaches.
in a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly (best done with your own two hands) the butter, flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon together. cover peaches and blueberries with oat topping.
bake for about 35 minutes or until the crisp topping is a golden brown and the fruit juices are bubbling. then, as tagg says: "eat up!"

me and my babies
tagg made this same forced-chubby-smile face when he was a little newborn. i swear, its like i had twins two and a half years apart!
finally! a shot with sully's eyes open.
he is such a sweet boy.
and then there's this boy! every time i take pictures of sully tagg insists on some of him too. such a ham.
ps. i am breaking the fourth wall. but i just wanted to say that i am truly grateful for all the sweet comments that are left on here. its like getting little letters from friends (cyber ones too!) and it always makes me smile. so thanks!
