disneyland & the beach

we took tess to disneyland to celebrate her third birthday a little early this year. it was perfect weather, no one was puking their guts out (unlike last year) and tess loved being a disney princess all weekend. 

first family vacation with the six of us! hucks like whaaaaat.

would it be sad if the most excited they got the entire weekend was when they saw bunk beds in our hotel room?

we had been planning and talking about tess riding the little mermaid ride for over a year. when she walked in the building she started twirling and prancing around. 

that was until like three seconds into the ride when she decided it was too scary. and wouldnt go near the place for the rest of the day. ha. that face. 

nothing a little ice cream with HALLOWEEN sprinkles cant fix. the halloween decorations (especially in california adventure) were amazing. 

we used the new max pass situation and it made everything so quick and easy. we went on a billion rides and never waited more than five minutes. 

at lunchtime, we went over to ariels grotto to dine with the princesses. it was everything i..... i mean tess..... hoped it would be.

she couldnt stop staring at the pictures of her with the different princesses,

that night, my parents kept tess and huck so craig and i could spend time with the boys. i took the boys on the special halloween version of gaurdians of the galaxy ride. it was very fun. 

cars land at night. tagg was apparently over it. 

a very fun and memorable night. 

topped off with a very spooky and delicious caramel apple.

the next day we did disneyland. huck was feeling it in his new mickey mouse hat. 

we walked tess through the castle and showed her the bibbiti bobbiti boutique. we told her maybe she could get her hair done there when she turns five. then she found her twin in the window!

the following day we went down to laguna niguel and played at the beach.

oh huck. youre a dream. 

figuring out decent sleeping situations for two kids, one toddler and one infant in one hotel room is no joke. tess loved her little bench bed we made for her.

the next day was filled with more fun in the sun. my kids love the sun and sand!

oh yeah. and tess loves pixy stix. classy.

the hotel had this amazing candy wall. tagg, sully and tess (and momo) took full advantage. 

holy crap. that was one fabulous trip. 

sandpoint, idaho

we finished off the summer right at our friends' house in sandpoint. we love it there so much and feel so blessed that our friends invite us each year.

tagg, sully and tess love the soda machine jon and becky have on their deck.

the water felt so amazing and i was so proud of tess for jumping right in.

tagg and tess loved putting on their little aprons and helping becky in the kitchen.

huck thoroughly enjoyed his first boat ride. the awesome new boat and john denver music blasting didnt hurt.

if you look closely. you can see sully's little arm doing a 'thumbs up'. no matter how fast jon would go, sully wanted to go faster. it was hilarious.

tagg enjoyed our runs to dairy depot for moose tracks shakes. clearly.

gross. i just noticed the spit up in this shot. but huck loved the warm air and was such a good boy all week.

tess did a great job applying sunscreen to my shoulders.

on the ride home, sully worked on his bubble blowing skills. he was particularly proud of this bubble. 

 

also on the way home, craig dropped me off at the gorge to meet up with jocelyn and see KINGS OF LEON.

it was a beautiful night (the big dipper was right above the stage the whole night) with amazing music and my best friend. a great way to end the week!

nick & steph's wedding

last week huck and i flew down to san diego for my cousin's wedding. we both loved the ocean air! :)

the gorgeous and HAPPY couple. 

man it was hot that day! wearing church clothes (ones that unintentionally EXACTLY match the bridal party) and carrying a baby around is noooo joke.

i didnt get any pictures of the reception but it was beautiful. so are these beautiful ladies. i love my grandma, mom and aunts!

huck was a pretty darn good baby on our trip. look at this little angel sleeping in his pack n play.

my best friends from middle school hosted a little brunch on sunday morning so we could catch up. it was so beautiful and delicious. i loved it!

the following morning was the eclipse! scott made these little viewing boxes so we could see the eclipse. 

that night we had dinner and shopped around fashion valley. 

huck and i squeezed in as much pool time as possible. a super fun weekend.
