royal wedding!

yesterday, we had a few friends over to watch the fabulous royal wedding. we all wore our tiaras, ate delicious food and awed over princess kate. it was seriously one of the most magical things i have ever seen. i loved every single second of it (my favorite part was when prince harry peeked down the isle at kate and whispered to william "wait 'til you see her"). i was especially happy that craig wasnt there. he would have teased me to death!

ps. tagg's teacher told me that he was the only one who knew what easter meant ("when jesus died and came back to life.") in his nursery class. i couldnt even hide my pride. :)

easter egg hunt + seattle sun + friends = perfection

today we went over to our friends' house to join in on the big easter egg hunt. tagg was very excited.denise's yard was the perfect place for a big hunt. there were eggs everywhere.

mia is the cutest girl in the entire world. i love her princess situation.

my mom came to help hold sully so i could chase after tagg with the camera. (craig had to work today. boo.)

tagg wanted to stop and open each egg after he found it. needless to say, the older kids moved a bit faster!

the perk about living in seattle is that we appreciate the sun a lot more when it does decide to show up. it makes special days like today, even more amazing.

kind of ironic.

because all i have been posting about lately is treats....but i have been off sugar (except for weekends) for three weeks now. lets just say that my mom and craig's co-workers love me.

but these little cupcakes are for the kids at the easter egg hunt we are going to tomorrow. happy hunting.

tagg is officially done with pacifiers. (note to self for future reference: not as horrific of a process as i thought it would be.) he loves nursery and chocolate milk. he makes me laugh every single day. latest funny one-liner: "MO-OM! dont say 'uh-huh'. it makes me sick."

sully has slept very well for the past three nites. so proud of him. he is a very happy baby and loooooves tagg and food.

my boys are a lot of work but i wouldnt have it any other way. life would be too boring. :)

cookie dough, cookie dough, cookie dough.

chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake with a cookie dough center, cookie dough buttercream, topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie. too much? i thought the same thing while i was baking these up yesterday (QUITE the process) but NO. the cake isnt overly sweet so all the flavors balance out to make one fabulous cupcake.

i had these for the first time a couple of nites ago and almost died. they are sooooo good. i ran over to the girl to get her recipe and she kindly obliged. get the recipe to these little muffins of joy here.

i cant stay mad at sully.

even tho i am sitting here wanting to pull my hair out! he woke up two hours ago (4.30am) and i havent been able to get back to sleep since. is there anything worse than tossing and turning? absolutely not. so even tho i am BLOGGING at 6am because this little nugget cant seem to learn how to sleep thru the nite, i still love him to pieces. how could i not? he is too darn cute.

an over-the-top girlie ruffle cake? i watched a quick youtube video on how to make the ruffles and it was sooooo easy. pretty much my new favorite thing in this world.

i love the blogging world.

i saw a garland like this on a friend of a friend of a friend's blog yesterday. i became obsessed instantly. as my mom said: i have a feeling home depot is about to lose a whole lot of paint chips. the original garland only had 20 chips. this one has about 60. i couldnt stop myself. my favorite part is the white line from the paint chip that makes the egg look like a classic plastic egg!
