tagg's SEAHAWKS birthday party
last saturday, tagg had his seahawks birthday party. it was such fun timing since we are ON OUR WAY TO THE SUPER BOWL! this guy was only kind of excited for his friends to show up.
we picked out blue and green treats to go in the favor boxes and found this amazing seahawks duct tape to use on ev.er.y.thing.
the lunch table all ready for the boys.
the boys!
color coordinated fruit and chips! team spirit.
after lunch, the boys whacked open a football pinata, played soccer outside (it was so beautiful and sunny) and shared the controllers on the xbox. basically the most masculine party imaginable.
they also tossed a football back and forth through the goal post i made. (i sawed that thing all by myself at home depot!) and then we had cake and ice cream.

and before tagg's friends left they grabbed their seahawks football cups and favor boxes.
it was such a fun afternoon. tagg had a GREAT time playing with his friends. happy birthday taggy!

dinner party
my friends and i thought it would be fun to have a grown-up dinner party. so i enlisted my mom and aunt to help with the fancy meal (beef tenderloin, homemade rolls, smashed golden potatoes... blah blah blah) and cleared the safeway shelves of martinelli's. we know how to partay.
ever since i saw these mossy branches in the yard i have been itching to use them for a tablescape. kind of weird to eat next to moss. but kind of neat.

after dinner we got down to the good stuff: dance party on the xbox.
then we played my new favorite game. you get under a blanket (to help release your inhibitions!), put on headphones and sing out loud to a song. boy oh boy. this never dissapoints. (ps. these two little cheaters are NOT supposed to be doing a duet. but it was the only way we could get them to participate)
a very fun night. cant wait to do it again.

NEW YEARS!
another super fun new years eve! we went downtown for dinner followed by partying at david's office building to ring in the new year.

craig and me, on our way to capital grille. we had never been there before. um. best. lobster. ever. i might have closed my eyes for a minute (out of sheer happiness) while i was chewing. irritating, i know.

LOVE spending holidays with my family. my dad and mom are always up for a party.

after dinner, we walked over to my uncle's office building get ready for midnight. after i put the snack table together we turned on some music (camptown races, to be exact. my dad is NUTS) and played a raucous game of sardines. this is craig, trying to find maralyn before everyone else does.

found her!

then we toasted at midnight and made good use of the gratuitous photo backdrop.

me and rachelle. im SO lucky to have such a wonderful sister in law like her. hope tucker pulls it off too! :)

baaaad lighting but the flash was bouncing off the couch. camera timers are hard yo. love this group.

happy 2014!

christmas
the boys and i made reindeer cookies on christmas eve. a little elf (my stomach) told me santa reeeeeeally enjoyed them.
after baking, we got all dressed up and went to christmas eve dinner. it has been such wonderful weather this season!

sully was ready to go home for his long winters nap.

but we still had our family nativity to preform. megan said we should make legitimate costumes (especially if social was media was to be involved) but honestly, half the fun is running around and finding random stuff to put on.

my two favorite shepherds and one CREEPY sheep.

after the nativity we went back home and got ready for bed. the boys were so excited for santa to visit.

and pretty soon after they were asleep, santa DID come. santa was tired. :)

christmas morning. sully's seahawk pillow pet. tagg's "nooooooooo!" is so random and hilarious.

it was a SEAHAWK christmas.

later that night, we went to our traditional christmas evening movie. (it wasnt frozen. it was that boring and depressing movie about the making of mary poppins. taylor just wanted a picture with olaf)

the movie group (minus the gees. they had raced out of there).

the following sunday, craig and i hosted his family for a christmas dinner and present exchange. and as with hosting goes, this is only picture i got before the crowd arrived. it was a very fun night though!

merry christmas!
