NEW YORK!
last week my mom, aunt brooke and i went to new york city! it was a fast but FANTASTIC few days.
a failed attempt at a selfie in our cab ride over from jfk to manhattan.
our first night there we walked though the theater district on the way to dinner. hamilton is THE broadway show right now so of course we spotted a celebrity on his way in to the sold out show. seth meyers! i dont really care for him but seeing any celebrity is exciting.
after dinner we went up the rooftop to see the city.
then we tried to work off dinner. and dessert.
and the following monrning's breakfast of cronuts. mocha toffee cronuts to be exact. my dream come true.
the leaves were very pretty around the city.
then we walked the highline, saw naked performance aritsts and shopped a bit in chelsea market.
looooove the highline.
and pearl oyster bar. every single meal we had during our trip was great but i think this was my favorite. lobster rolls for days.
that night we walked up and down 5th avenue. we stopped by mass at saint patricks cathedral, enjoyed banana pudding from magnolia and spotted johnny weir buying shoes in bergdorf goodman. "why is he shopping in the womens section?"
shoe shopping with my favorite person in my favorite store.
having brooke on the trip was freaking amazing. she is the kindest, funniest, most thoughtful aunt a girl could hope for. i love her so much.
i know. dominique ansel's again for more cronuts. we couldnt get enough.
that afternoon we walked around central park. it was a very pretty afternoon.
i need to frame this picture that brooke took.
living it up in central park.
then we took a pedi-cab over to the plaza to eat a late lunch down in the super cool food hall.
that night we walked across the brooklyn bridge. the weather was perfection.
my favorite view. ever.
our last morning in new york we walked over to grand central station.
then said goodbye to our hotel and waited for our car to take us to jfk. love vacationing with my mom. best travel buddies.
speaking of travel buddies. best. weekend. ever.

halloween!
october was an incredibly busy and fun month. and every holiday season is better with these three!
quick throwback though. i bought these pjs when tess was a few weeks old so she could wear them this year. but i forgot how quickly babies grow so she was already big enough for them back in may! so i hurried and put them on her and took a few shots so i could always remember the cutest baby wearing the cutest jammies.
and she knows it.
we went to value village to find a few items for my halloween costume and found this gem. ha!
i had the pleasure of going to remlinger farms with sully and his preschool class. it is one of my favorite traditions.
craig and i dressed as tom brady (deflated football and all!) and gisele (soap box breastfeeding and all) for our friends annual halloween costume party.
the boys.
group shot. i love our friends. we always have so much competitive fun together.
we also threw kaitlin and emily their baby showers. we went to dinner at din tai fung, painted pottery at the paint the town, and inhaled molly moons. a perfect night.
we remodeled our mud room. i love how it turned out. tess makes it cuter too.
we had a great night at rod & cheri's ward trunk or treat.
the moon was out and my vampire and werewolf were really feeling it.
our favorite witch!
passing out candy at the trunk or treat.
sully looked so perfect for his school halloween party.
tagg had told all of his friends that he was going to be creeper for halloween. so there was no turning back. man, that thing was a beast to construct AND wear. but he loved it.
meow!
this was my first official year hosting the donut party. i was pretty dang nervous. knowing that all of my closest friends and family were counting on delicious donuts was a lot of pressure. but with the help of my mom and becky i did it! look at that dough rise baby!
and craig did a great job getting the yard ready. his pumpkin ghosts are always such a hit.
i spy tagg!
and i spy tess with a creepy elsa braid. :)
tess is like "that better be for me".
nice chocolate glazed nose, tagg. clearly he had had his share.
donut party success!
and in case we hadnt hit our calorie limit for the month i made my grandma's traditional pumpkin cookies. she made these every year when i was a little girl. i remember always eating them cold because we ate them straight from the box shipped from her home in oregon.
after a perfect evening of pizza and trick or treating. the torrential rain paused for the exact hour that we were out trick or treating. a halloween miracle.
princess tess turns ONE
this darling poodle turned one on october 20th. dang we love her.
she went to her 12 month check up. weighed 20+ pounds and loved squawking at herself in the "full length" mirror.

tess currently: has 4 1/2 teeth. is starting to stand on her own. loooooves her brothers. will eat ANYTHING you put in front of her (except egg salad. the only thing she has ever turned down). loves nodding 'yes' when she's done with her bottle & shaking her head 'no' when she's doing something naughty (climbing the stairs, trying to get into the boys' lego tent). aaaaand
she loves her lamby. more than anything on this planet earth.
speaking of being naughty. this girl WILL NOT sit her bum down. not in a high chair and definitely not in a shopping cart. so for now, i have been putting her in the big part of the cart. she loves when i give her cozy things so she can take a break from shopping and suck her thumb.
naturally, we celebrated her first birthday with a halloween themed party.
she loved every second of it.
dang. the three of them look pretty beat.
but HBD tess!
tagg, sully & tess at one year old. :)
we just love tess so much. she is honestly the happiest, sweetest, smartest little girl.

halloween craft night
my friends and i had our annual craft night again. we made these little tassel ghosts
and this wicked print. :)
i really love my friends and im so glad they love to party as much as i do.
pumpkins
we added one new little guest to our annual pumpkin picking event this year. TESS!
my mom came along so she could hold tess while i reined the boys in from getting 506590903 ugly gourds.
our favorite pumpkin patch.
our favorite girl pumpkin.
after we picked our pumpkins tagg informed us that it was corn maze time. he looooooves the corn maze.
so does sully.
craig is such a great dad. and the boys are SUCH daddy's boys.
the girls!
another wonderful trip over to the pumpkin patch. happy october!
