OC babymoon

| last week my mom and i flew down to orange county for one last getaway before the new baby. the sun was muuuuuch needed. |

| first stop was thrifty ice cream. duh. |

| that night we waited in a 45 minute line to try a new (to us) ice cream shop. they make the each serving of ice cream right in front of you after you order it with liquid nitrogen and then put it in a puffle (a soft waffle cone. so basically a waffle). |

| my mom ordered a puffle with s'more ice cream (that they shaped into a pretty rose) with a toasted marshmallow on top. i got sweet cream ice cream topped with frosted flakes inside a churro puffle. yes. |

| the next morning we rented bikes and rode down the boardwalk. |
 |
| my mom and i agreed that seagulls are ugly birds but i love the new portrait app on my phone so i used it on this guy. |
 |
| that night we had FANTASTIC pizza at this little restaurant in corona del mar. |
 |
| afterwards, we tried out another new dessert place. they had macaron ice cream sandwiches and organic cotton candy topped with fruity pebbles. another win. |
 |
| on our last day in southern california we soaked up as much sun as possible on divers cove beach. and i had my mom take a few belly shots. ha! |
 |
| on our way to the airport with had dinner (and pina coladas!) at javiers. the sun was setting and it was a wonderful dinner. also, a real housewife was eating dinner in the booth behind us. entertaining! |
