wailea
a couple weeks ago we traveled to maui for a late spring break. this year, my grandma came along. we had the best time.
the boys loved looking for geckos. they were everywhere. tagg found this guy in the pool!
my mother in law and aunt brooke offered to watch tess while we were in maui. i hated leaving tess but enjoyed spending quality time with just our boys.  and lets be honest, who wants to watch an 18 month old get sand in her eyes/mouth/ears/everything?
nothing better than a hawaiian sunrise. we always stay on seattle time while were in hawaii so we get to the pretty sunrises.
tagg says nothing better than a fairmont breakfast. sprinkles much.
on our way to see some sea turtles.
ululanis shave ice on a hot afternoon. tagg & sully were in heaven.
every morning(pretty much before anyone or anything was even awake)craig would go out to our favorite chairs and wait until the pool boys came around to have them put our names on them. early bird catches the desirous pool chairs.
lava flows, fries and pina coladas!
when we were feeling really adventurous we would roll off our pool chairs and walk down to the beach. i brought this insane inflatable flamingo from home. it was a hit.
the boys loved playing with her in our villa pool.
each night we would get cleaned up and walk over to the shops to get suuuuuuuper yummy ice cream. sully has an issue with wiping his eyes every time he comes up from the water. so no matter how much or how often i put sun screen on him his little cheeks always get toasted. depressing.
the next morning we drove over to secret beach. it really is stunning.
back at the pool with taylor and a lizard!
sliiiiiiide time!
tagg was feeling the curled-up-into-a-ball position this year for his slide technique.
more adventures down at the beach. some kind lady gave us her boogie board because it was her last day in maui. the boys were thrilled.
afternoon tradition (i think my grandma's favorite) of fries and a fancy drink.
the conch shell guy is the best.
pretty sunset.
pretty mom on her way to get some ice cream.
breakfast!
we took my grandma over to secret beach for the first time. she loved it. the locals practicing their hula routines was especially great.
momo with her boys.
we loooooove maui.
after secret beach we drove the 30 seconds over to ahihi to snorkel.
tagg and sully LOVED seeing all the beautiful fish. the yellow ones are always their favorite.
a little afternoon of monopoly to relax.
no can do with board games, so just headed back to the pool.
getting ready to run with the conch shell guy.
another great sunset.
the girls.
sully helping himself to one of our favorite parts of each day. fairmont's breakfast.
we rented a couple paddle boards so we could go over and see the huuuuge sea turtles. so dang fun.
more time with the flamingo!
craig is so great with the boys. he plays in the waves for hours and digs enormous holes in the sand with them.
my happy, hawaiian boys.
that night we drove over to lahaina to have dinner and people watch. we had so much fun with this group for the week.
daughter-mother love!

son-mother love. :)
more lizard/gecko hunting.
a group shot near our favorite water feature.
that night my mom and grandma offered to watch the boys so the two couples could enjoy a dinner at mamas fish house. we always try to time our reservations to be right at sunset. quite the view!
reeeeeeeally yummy desserts and fancy drinks (and delicious food. basically we inhaled everything). a very fun night.
i love him a lot.
our last morning we played in the waves and soaked up the sunshine.
an incredible week that i will never forget.

auntie brooke with her little sidekick and sully!
