cinco de mayo
i woke up yesterday and felt like throwing a little cinco de mayo party. honestly, i was just craving tacos and thought i might as well go all out.

i had a ton of fun playing with the fake mustaches. pretty sure my boys wouldnt say the same.
except for maybe this boy.
what better excuse to bring out the fiestaware than a cinco de mayo party?
i am not really a drink person but these "margaritas" were pretty scrumptious. it was just diet 7up with limeade concentrate.
behold. the pièce de résistance. or i guess the pieza de resistencia. ha! lately my aunt (megan) and i have been on a kick of making our own tortilla chips. they are serisouly out of this world. homemade chips and gauc is one deadly combination!
alex and megan joined us for our little fiesta.
emery couldnt escape the mustache torture either.
craig was so nice and made quite the detour (our local blockbuster shut down)on his way home from work to rent three amigos. we didnt get around to watching it while the beans were here so craig and i watched it later that nite. such a classic.
after dinner, megan and i decided to try and make churros. we were leery at first because the recipe looked too simple and easy but they were simple and easy to make.
and quite delicious. just ask craig and alex. because they ate all of them before i could take a picture. so i had to fry up a couple more this morning.
