collecting family heirlooms.

my mom (she of leeeetle faith) didnt think craig would get into UW dental school, so she promised him this quilt if he did. it is called the "UW quilt". and we love it.

my mom made this amazing quilt for us when we got married. this was her first attempt at putting a picture on a label, it turned out great!

the colors are beautiful and they match our yellow couch puuurfectly.

last weekend, we had the pleasure of going over to craig's grandparents home in Woodinville. Grandma Trinka took me all throughout her house and let me take anything i wanted. i got some pretty amazing stuff. stuff that i usually spend big bucks on at my antique shops..... it was a great day! this quilt used to be on craig's mom's bed when she was a little girl. i love the eagle, and it is the softest thing ever.

craig thinks this pillow is a little weird, but i love it! the second i saw it at his grandma's house i had to have it. maybe it will go in a nursery some day.

this pillow goes great in our bedroom. the flowers are sewn on in this pretty periwinkle color.

craig's ancestors were masons. this is the Lord's Prayer.

my favorite catch of the day..... these charms! they are real gold and so cool. the phone reads "i love u" in between the dial. craig's grandpa worked for a phone company, and so i know this particular charm has sentimental value. the coin is of craig when he was a little boy.

on the back of the coin it says craig's name and birth date. i love it!

now for the important stuff. just kidding. actually, i cannot believe that i am posting this, but oh well. i got these piece-of-crap extensions at target (19$). at first it was a joke, and then i put them on in the store and kinda liked them. craig and my mom get sick every time they see them. and so i must be off my rocker, because i dont think you can really tell...... what do you think?
