 HES HERE!
huck fielder smith arrived on thursday, may 18th and we LOVE this little nugget.
craig and i got to the hospital suuuuper early for my scheduled c-section (after you have two c-sections i guess they make you have c-sections from then on). it had been 9 years since my last normal c-section (sully was normal and i was put under for tess) so i was a littttle nervous. but everything went smoothly and about 25 minutes after walking into the OR........
huck was born! i had never done skin to skin with my babies after delivery but ohhhhh man, when they placed this baby on my chest 2 seconds after he was born i was in HEAVEN. i will never forget how wonderful he smelled and his little breathing. i never wanted it to end.
craig is the best husband and dad. i love the quiet, special few days we get to spend together in the hospital with our newest treasures.
THOSE FEET!

my parents with baby huck!

one of my favorite things is seeing my new baby's name in writing for the first time.

only to be outdone by my first favorite thing: watching tagg, sully & tess see their new little brother for the first time.

tess was soooo sweet. she loved huck's nose and hat. "soooooooo tiny!"
sully was beyond proud. i mean look at that face! he really wanted a younger brother. i emailed this picture to sully's teacher so she could show his class. he loved it.
tagg was protective and nervous. i love this picture of my oldest and youngest. time needs to stop!

PARTY OF SIX!
per our tradition, jocelyn drove up to see the new baby only hours after he was born. i love the time we get to spend together and maybe this hospital visit will inspire another smith baby!
tagg, sully, tess, huck. all a few hours after birth. cookie cutters!

he was a great eater from the first few minutes of life! clearly he enjoys having something, ANYTHING in his mouth. such a piggy.

proud grandpa and grandma smith.
me and my favorite new baby doll!
ready to take huck home.
first car ride. he looks so little!
my four babies.
tess is loving being an older sister. besides the few times i have caught her poking his eyes or trying to shove the pacifier in a little too hard, she is perfect with him.
dang, i wanna eat him.
sweestest little boy. we love you huck, and are so happy youre here. of course it was you all along! xx

may
tagg pitched for his first time. he was so nervous before the game. he did really well! i looooved seeing him on the mound and even striking out a few boys.
the next time he pitched he did so well that he recieved the game ball! omg. i was crying.
for my dad's 70th birthday we surprised him with a special dinner and his parents who live up north. it was fun catching up with them and spending time together.
tess loves anything to do with beauty and the beast. target had this "beauty" dress on sale so i caved (i dont do character clothing) and bought it for her. worth it! she loves to twirl around with beast and sing LOUDLY to herself.
last bump picture before the baby!
cinco de mayo taco dinner.
we made mini choco tacos this year for the first time. soooooo freaking tasty. and i was very proud of the authentic representation of the classic treat.
helping me pack for the hospital.
mothers day with my mom, tagg, sully, tess & an active kicker!
the day before i went in for c-section!

easter with cotton!
dang easter is a whole lot cuter with a lionhead bunny!
he behaved perfectly for his photoshoot. my kind of bunny.
we had our annual easter egg hunt with friends. the kids are all getting so big!
i had so much fun making these paper flowers for tess' bunny ears.
this cake might have turned out pretty but i didnt love the rice paper grass. i do not approve of sacrificing flavor for looks. next time i might do tinted coconut instead.
cotton!
easter morning. (after we had said family prayer and talked about the real reason for the day and before i could find tess' new easter pjs)
found them! and she found cotton. :)
a wonderful day filled with family, the gospel, yummy food, partial sun and of course, cadbury eggs.
april & spring break
it has been a crap spring (actually a crap summer, fall, winter AND spring. i am so ready to move to california) with soooooo much rain. we have omld growing on our bodies at this point. but a couple weeks ago the sun made an appearance so i lined up my girls' pretty eggs and admired them in the sun for a second.
i have also been baking a ton. what else is there to do when you are stuck inside?
picked out the baby's coming home outfit. white on white on white!
we were walking around this crappy indoor mall when tess spotted a pink bear pedicure chair. she waltzed right on in and sat down. she loved her first pedicure. it was the cutest thing ever. especially when she just stared at the lady during her massage.
lets hope she's a little more gentle when the real, live baby is in the bassinet.

tagg participated in his second pinewood derby. he ranked better this year and there were no tears so i would say it was a success!
my mom finished the baby quilts. and i finished the baby's room, i mean closet. :) now we just wait to see which pretty quilt we get to use!
when we had the latest ultrasound with the baby craig and i both thought it looked like a boy. but then i found this picture of tess when she was an hour old and they look like freaking twins. so who knows! four more weeks.....
we had to be (or got to be) very creative for this year's spring break because i couldnt travel since it was so close to my due date. that meant lots of quality park time.
we went down to the fun center one day. tess tried the frog hopper for her second time and actually lasted the whole ride.
ever since she watched beauty and the beast she looooooves anything to do with the movie and the characters. she saw this "castle" on the mini golf course and said "BEAST HOME!"
holy crap. when i noticed she was licking her finger (and not even using it!) to turn the pages on her "mermaid bathroom" book i was belly laughing.

one day, we took the kids downtown. we walked around gasworks park in the sunshine.

the boys rolled down this huge hill like five times. a couple days after this, sully had an allergist appointment and we found out he is super allergic to grass. so in hindsight, rolling down an enormous grass hill wasnt the best idea. :)
sunny seattle is the best.
tagg and sully loved the fremont troll. tess wouldnt have anything to do with it "it's creepy!".

tagg and sully are having a great time with their piano lessons. sometimes their teacher sends me a video of them playing. here, sully is playing a duet with miss teddy and tagg is being insane in the background.
34 week belly shot.
we got a bunny! organic non gmo cotton ball smith. and he is sooo cute and friendly.
i made cinnamon and sugar baked donuts for the first time. they were pretty yummy.
my extended family is doing a challenge where someone in our family attends the temple (or temple grounds) each day in the month of april. for our day we took the kids and walked around. it was such a gorgeous night and they LOVED the fountain.
it was ken griffey jr night at the mariners so of course we had to attend. we took all three kids and they loved it. especially the food. they may have had a little toooo much sugar.....
in front of the new KGjr statue.
sully finally had his first game of the season (freaking rain) and loved every second of it.
he really is so talented.

the whole situation was made even cuter by the fact that sully wore taylor's vintage padres jacket. oh my gosh.
tess is also in love with the little mermaid. they had these super cute fins in the target dollar section. mid-afternoon bath to try them out!
