go tigers!

sully just finished his first season of baseball. he loved every single second of it. 

he was on a team (the blue tigers) with all of his friends and our friend, matt, was the coach. tagg was an honorary tiger. sully had a love/hate relationship with that idea. he didnt want tagg stealing his spotlight (always wanted tagg to bat last) but was very sad when tagg couldnt play in the tigers' last game because he was at his own baseball game. oh sully! its complicated being the middle child. :)

after their last game the team went to dairy queen for ice cream and trophies. sully was honestly on cloud nine. he loves baseball so much, carries his trophy around everywhere and is already asking when next season starts!

mothers day

mothers day was lovely this year. the boys made me breakfast, i ate see's candy and the sun was out! my mom came over before church and we took a few generational shots. 

tess is doing this new thing where she cocks her head waaaaaaay over when someone talks to her. shes so shy. not.

sully made this for me in preschool. my favorite part is that he says i "cuddle good". 

tagg put together a little book at school for mothers day. i wish i had purple hearts in my hair! :) and geesh. both boys think im nice.... they must have selective memories when it comes to bedtime! 

cinco de mayo!

last week we had my family over for tacos to celebrate cinco de mayo. 

my brothers both learned spanish on their lds missions so i thought they would appreciate me to whipping out the few remaining words/phrases i remembered from my high school spanish classes. apparently i didnt even get that right. its 'te gustan'.

a few months ago jocelyn showed me these little oreo 'tacos' saying, 'i dont have the patience to make these but i know you will!". hahaha she knows me too well. they are made using white oreos, crushed regular oreos, tinted coconut, cut up starbust and sliced hot tamales.

we went to maui for spring break this year. i was nervous bringing tess but she was a hawaiian doll! it was a very fun week.

the flight over. that little thumb, i swear!

the plane was basically empty (when was the last time that happened?!) so i sprawled out.

when we arrived the hotel gave us leis. tess was feeling it.

tagg jumped right in!

i cannot explain how incredibly fun it was to have my family in hawaii with us. sooooooooo fun.

right near secret beach is this beautiful wall of bougainvillea. the colors are my favorite.

the next day was more fun at the beach. it was so freeing to not have to worry about bundling tess up. i love warm weather babies!

every night at sunset, a hawaiian guy from the hotel runs around lighting the torches. the kids chase after him and he lets them blow on his conch shell at the end. so fun for them. 

we loved every minute of our vacation! especially because momo and ga were there.

the next morning we went snorkeling at our favorite spot.

he is such a stud. he said his favorite fish was the bright "lellow" one.

after snorkeling we came back to our hotel to swim. look at the view from the lobby! i love the fairmont. 

our hotel room had a little splash pool too. water, water everywhere!

my mom brought sand toys from home this year. the boys had so much fun building sand castles and digging to find shells and crabs.

after we had enough sand for the day we got a little cleaned up and headed over to kihei for some....

shave ice! glad easter boo could get in on the action too (centerstage).

that evening my parents offered to stay back with the kids so taylor, rachelle, craig and i could have dinner at mama's fish house. our absolute favorite.

the next morning we had breakfast at the hotel. and craig gave tess a taste of her first orange. sully was highly entertained.

tagg said that was the best breakfast he has ever had. waffles, fruit loops, and frosted flakes. yummy.

tagg and sully loved playing at the beach but the slide was always first choice. 

sully would yell something different every time he came down the slide so i knew it was him coming down.

that afternoon we went over to big beach. the waves were insane and the topless sun bathers were insane-er.

the dated convention center... i mean....hotel next to our hotel does have this pretty waterfall near the lobby so we went over there one day to get a picture.

wouldnt be a vacation to the beach if craig and the boys didnt dig some HUGE hole in the sand. 

on one of our morning walks (tess and i stayed on seattle time the entire trip. which means we were up at about 4.30/5am every morning) i found these perfect little pink plumerias on the ground. i gathered a bunch up and made a lei for tess. she ripped that sucker to shreds after about three seconds. rude!

that afternoon taylor, rachelle, craig and i went on our favorite hike at la perouse bay. this little action sequence of taylor getting splashed by a wave is my favorite thing ever. ok, my second favorite thing ever. go pro+waterslide+taylor.....

that night we celebrated my dads birthday by going out to dinner. my kids are so lucky to have such fabulous grandparents.

we rented paddle boards and went out right from our hotel to find the big sea turtles. 

it was kind of choppy. i was pretty nervous and only lasted about ten minutes. 

the boys, however, were loving life and i feared they would stay out there forever. 

after i heard how amazing the turtles were i had to get back out there and see them. so worth it. those things were HUMONGOUS. 

but i was happy to be back on dry ground after the snorkeling was over. 

and this guy was happy any time he got his hands on a pina colada. 

and tess enjoyed her first bite of kiwi. she has loved everything we've given to her.

such a happy baby. i could have six million tess'.

we loved having a bbq at our room. it was so fun to grill up hamburgers and hot dogs and watch the sunset from our lanai.

i love craig so very much and am grateful for how hard he works so we can enjoy vacations like this one.

on our last morning there, tess and i went down to the water, set up the camera timer on my phone and took some pictures. hahahah theres not much else to do that early in the am. 

happy humans (they must not have known it was our last few minutes at the pool).
