easter egg hunt
on saturday we had our friends over for our annual east egg hunt. love a festive tablescape.

my finger hurt for a solid two hours after smudging blush on the bunny ears to make them pink.
these carrot pudding cups were so easy to put together and verrrry mini. so i didnt feel too bad when i ate nine of them.
the kids (and lightning) after the hunt.
moms and babies.
my babies. a fun day!

march
it has been one miiiiild winter/spring. its not quite warm enough to have bbqs on the porch yet.... but im ready and definitely counting the days.
tagg and sully are taking full advantage of the weather and getting good use out of their christmas present!
i walked in on this little nugget one morning a few weeks ago and found this!!!!!!! craig and i both sucked our thumbs until we were seven so one of my kids was bound to be a thumb sucker.
caught you! and yes, the second i took this picture i realized how ridiculous she looked in her bassinet and switched her to her crib that night.
tagg was able to bring home his writing folder so we could see some of his work from the year so far. this little gem was written at the very beginning of the year. hes such a sass! :) (ps. i only wish "thousand" was spelled like that!)
cute girl
self soothing. loooooove.

tagg started his baseball season last week. coach pitch. heaven help us. or just me. having to sit thru those games.
i had sully snap this picture. had to document me, standing in the rain, pitching to tagg (who was trying to be patient with me but i could tell was annoyed). dont say i never did anything for you, tagg!
rolling over!

trying on swimsuits (tess, NOT me) for hawaii.
never enough pictures of her sucking her thumb.
since i never find out the gender of my babies the nurserys have always been pretty neutral. not anymore! ive pretty much finished tess' room now. SO fun to do the girl thing.

she's pretty happy with her room too!

saint patricks day!
i woke up a little early yesterday to dye some pancake mix green and prepare a festive breakfast for tagg and sully. they loved it. (wonder if their teachers loved the sugar buzz?.....)
the night before, i realized i had the ingredients to make a small batch of st. patricks day rice krispie treats! they were so easy and tagg loved having a holiday treat in his lunchbox.

miss tess
tess is four months old. she is a very good baby. i dont like to talk about how well behaved she is because i dont want to jinx it. but so far soooooo good.
she loves her brothers. one of their favorite things to do with tess is get cozy under one million blankets and guys. she loves it.
sully really loves to hold tess. twinners in stripes!
this was one of her first laughs (right at four months. shes a very good/happy baby but not super goofy. maybe she has craigs personality?). baby laughs are like magic!

at tess' four month check up she loved looking at herself at the mirror and impressing the doctor with all of her age appropriate tricks! :) (holding her head up well, tracking with her eyes, making bubbles....)
and pretty much rolling over. shes almost there are SO proud of herself.
her other absolute favorite trick is blowing bubbles. we call her 'bubble girl'. she will do it 100% of the time if you do airplane with her.

daaaaaaang. i really like this human.

oscars 2015
the oscars were pretty boring this year (we hadnt seen most of the nominated movies and neil patrick harris was hosting) but that didnt stop us from having our annual party!
my mom outdid herself once again and stole the show! we are (from left to right) wild, boxtrolls, imitation game, birdman, boyhood, american sniper, grand budapest, theory of everything, maleficent, into the woods, big hero 6 and book of life. our costumes keep getting better and better. cant wait until next year!
southern california
last week we went down to southern california to get some much needed sun.
after chick fil a (obviously) we drove over to the beach.
it was basically the first time sun has ever touched tess' skin. she really loved it.
when we were done at the beach we went over to javiers for dinner. they sat us outside and the sun was just setting. it was absolutely beautiful.
the next morning the boys woke up and went right over to dinseyland. tess and i stayed behind in the hotel room and waited for my mom and aunt brooke to come. there has been several cases of the measles reported at disneyland lately and since tess isnt old enough to have the vacciantion i wasnt going to chance it. instead, my mom and brooke took tess and had a great time shopping all day (despite the fact that i had forgotten ALL the milk i had pumped in preparation for my day away from tess at home!)
the gang getting ready to go on thunder mountain! sully was juuuuuust under the height requirement so craig shoved his socks into the bottom on sully's shoes. it worked!
and worked again! space moutain baby. sully loved it so much i could hear him belly laughing from the row behind me. (lets ignore tagg's face in this shot)
proud boy and even prouder dad. his sock trick was a success.
we found goofy on our way out.
such a fun day.
cant wait to take tess next year. i already have her outfit picked out.
the following day we woke up at jumped right in brooke's pool.
tess seriously loved being outside and feeling the warm breeze.
she just relaxed on the grass and cooed.

until i dipped her feet in the pool. she loved that too.
brooke and scott got this awesome candy machine for christmas. tagg and sully loved it. the entire weekend was spent looking for quarters in couch cushions and under beds.
that night we all went out to dinner. traveling with my parents and taylor and rachelle is such a blast.
traveling with tess turned out to be pretty much a blast too. she was a very good little girl.
the next day we tore ourselves away from the pool and went over to la jolla shores. it was a gorgeous day and the boys headed straight for the water.
my little boogie boarder.
tess loved the beach.
the boys.
catching a wave!
after the beach we drove over to fins for lunch. fins is serisouly so good and you can see the temple from its doors. added bonus.
this planter was right outside fins. i thought it was so pretty. i wish i could have brought it home.
that night we celebrated valentines day by going out to dinner. tess was our plus one. she seems annoyed.
our last day in san diego the boys had more fun out at the pool.
cannonball!

brooke was so sweet to tess and i can tell they are already besties.
but craig really wanted tess to get in the water so she had to take a break from singing with aunt brooke and go swimming.
my three kids! cant believe it!
on the way home that night the sky was so amazing. so pink.
and this little nugget was amazing too. she did this the entire plane ride. both there and back.
these nut jobs were pretty well behaved too.
a very fun trip.
