tucker & lauren got married! (aaand it was tess' third birthday)

tucker married lauren! she is the sweetest girl ever and im still pinching myself i have her as a new SIL. it was a beautiful, memorable day. we loved every second of it. 

which was good because the wedding festivities totally over-shadowed this little girl's third birthday (her birthday was the day before the wedding). we made sure she felt as special as possible.(and in case you dont speak tess.... this is her saying her birthday is october 20th)

the following morning was the wedding. this was the kids waiting outside the temple for tucker and lauren. 

jocelyn came up for the weekend! it was soooo fun to have her there.

it was the first time in a long time that all the millward cousins were together (besides tyler and liam {who is on a mission}). it was a blast getting to catch up with everyone. and it was scary trying to get this shot before sam decided he was over it.

we had a donut truck serving hot, mini donuts to the guests. so i thought it would be fun to incorporate the donut theme into the cake display. there were also polaroids from the day hanging above the cake. 

eating our fair share of delicious mini donuts (donut mind if I DO) and hot chocolate. 

after the cutting of the cake and the bouquet toss there was DANCING! good thing tess brought lamby for the party. :)

disneyland & the beach

we took tess to disneyland to celebrate her third birthday a little early this year. it was perfect weather, no one was puking their guts out (unlike last year) and tess loved being a disney princess all weekend. 

first family vacation with the six of us! hucks like whaaaaat.

would it be sad if the most excited they got the entire weekend was when they saw bunk beds in our hotel room?

we had been planning and talking about tess riding the little mermaid ride for over a year. when she walked in the building she started twirling and prancing around. 

that was until like three seconds into the ride when she decided it was too scary. and wouldnt go near the place for the rest of the day. ha. that face. 

nothing a little ice cream with HALLOWEEN sprinkles cant fix. the halloween decorations (especially in california adventure) were amazing. 

we used the new max pass situation and it made everything so quick and easy. we went on a billion rides and never waited more than five minutes. 

at lunchtime, we went over to ariels grotto to dine with the princesses. it was everything i..... i mean tess..... hoped it would be.

she couldnt stop staring at the pictures of her with the different princesses,

that night, my parents kept tess and huck so craig and i could spend time with the boys. i took the boys on the special halloween version of gaurdians of the galaxy ride. it was very fun. 

cars land at night. tagg was apparently over it. 

a very fun and memorable night. 

topped off with a very spooky and delicious caramel apple.

the next day we did disneyland. huck was feeling it in his new mickey mouse hat. 

we walked tess through the castle and showed her the bibbiti bobbiti boutique. we told her maybe she could get her hair done there when she turns five. then she found her twin in the window!

the following day we went down to laguna niguel and played at the beach.

figuring out decent sleeping situations for two kids, one toddler and one infant in one hotel room is no joke. tess loved her little bench bed we made for her.

the next day was filled with more fun in the sun. my kids love the sun and sand!

oh yeah. and tess loves pixy stix. classy.

the hotel had this amazing candy wall. tagg, sully and tess (and momo) took full advantage. 

holy crap. that was one fabulous trip. 

first day of school & september

sully started first grade and tagg started fourth grade. apparently once you hit fourth grade you dont allow your mom to take first-day-of-school pictures anymore.

i made the boys peanut butter and jelly cupcakes for when they got home from their first day. 

huck is getting so big! he loves to talk, blow bubbles, hold his head up, and get LOTS of attention. also, he has a super raspy little voice. its our absolute favorite. 

tessy started ballet! she started pointing her little foot as soon as she put on her dance outfit. where do they learn these things?!

we threw rachelle a baby shower. it was a very fun night celebrating baby wilder.

i put together this little emoji game. it was so fun! ladies had the hardest time with #11........

this is tagg's first year doing safety patrol. i love seeing him in that little yellow vest. except that the power might be going to his head.... he said he's going to report me for talking to much in the crosswalk. 

the fair

we went to the fair last week. tess loved the horses. we all loved the corn on the cob and elephant ear. :)

oh yeah and the giant water bubble attraction thing.
