sandpoint, idaho

we just got back from a fantastic long weekend in sandpoint, idaho.

we drove for about five hours on saturday and arrived just in time to play a bit with tagg before putting him to bed so we could do a little.......

....hot tubbing! i felt like i was on
the bachelor. dont ask me why. i mean, i was in there with my little cousins and my brother, so it wasnt like it was extremly romantic or anything. but i just feel like they are always in hot tubs on that show.

craig says that this picture is inappropriate but i had never been in a hot tub while it was snowing, so i wanted a picture of it. it was a blast.

after sacrament on sunday, we had the choice of whether we wanted to go home or stay for the rest of the meetings..... i have NEVER seen people run to a car so quickly in my life. there were ten of us in a camry.

we had a great time walking out onto the frozen lake. (this was the extent of my winter games)

anna could not get enough of the fresh snow.

we built a huge snowman. correction: we
started to build a huge snowman. but by the time we got the head, we were all pooped out so the snowman had a little pinhead.

craig and me on the lake. the hat that i am holding is quite sentimental. craig was wearing that exact hat the first nite we met.

craig, building our very own ice skating rink. it was A LOT of work (great job, craig!), but it totally paid off. the kids had a fabulous time skating around on it.

bianca, mackenzie, and anna. i seriously cannot believe this picture was even possible. this must have been the only five minutes during the entire trip that they WERENT in the basement watching LOST.

megan and me. probably discussing how much we arent into being cold.

craig and tyler worked on putting some puzzles together. precious.

our midnite run to dariy depot. the poor cashier guy had to make ten shakes at 12.30am. what a trooper.

tagg and me at schweitzer. even though the two of us didnt go skiing, we thought it would be fun to go up to the mountain and cheer everybody else on.

craig met us down at the lodge. we cannot wait until tagg can start ski lessons. craig will be one proud papa.

tagg, looking out the window to see craig coming up on the ski lift. look at those cheeks!

grace was a natural born skier! this was her first time on skis and she did great. she was even going off jumps. we were all so proud of her.

our last nite in sandpoint, we all went out for pizza. tagg couldnt wait for his slice.

but playing/dancing with the juke box helped to pass the time until his food was ready. he is one crazy dancing machine.

the party crew. we had such a wonderful time together. there were a whole lotta great meals and big laughs. i am kinda sad the weekend is over, but i look forward to next time! (hopefully with the kettles!)
