latelytagg and i became quite the wrestling spectators this season. my brother (and tagg's uncle) wrestled for his junior high school and we loved supporting him, even if it meant sitting on these hard bleachers.

not staged. makes this picture even cuter.

last week, the dental wives threw tagg a baby shower. we met at california pizza kitchen and had such a fun lunch! we passed around baby trivia cards and ate really yummy lemon cupcakes.

i am very grateful to the girls for being so generous and thoughtful. we had an awesome time.

it was very important to craig that this picture was taken. he wanted to document the huge snow storm we got last weekend. i wasnt nearly as excited, though. we got stuck trying to come home and had abandon our car and walk home (with tagg in his carseat and me in my dang sandals). i guess it was pretty but at the time i wasnt feeling the whole pioneer vibe. this is craig, after the ordeal.

ok, so this video isnt that amazing. but i thought i should document tagg and his noises. he really is the cutest thing i have ever seen. i love him a whole lot.

pictures of tagga couple of weeks ago, my good friend, jessica, came into town for my baby shower. she was also kind enough to take some pictures of tagg and me while she was here. she is so talented! i love this first picture because tagg is sleeping on his quilt that my mom gave him.
i was pretty nervous that he would scream the entire time and jessica would want to die, but he was a very good little boy. why do i worry so much? a new mom thing, i guess.

what a bald little guy i have. however, the last couple of days a whole new batch of peach fuzz has begun to grow on his head... yay!

i really didnt want to get in any of the shots but jessica insisted. i am glad she did though, because i know i will cherish these pictures forever.

its like he gets sleepy/bored just looking at me.

my mom has her bedroom walls painted this amazing chartreuse color. it was perfect for a background.

i love his face in this one. my hands, not so much. i literally have the ugliest hands ever created.

he looks so alert in this shot. i love him so much!

he was supposed to be snuggling into my shoulder but all he wanted to do was slide right down! so cute, though.

louis just had to get in on the fun. he is SUCH a camera hog.

look at those lips. precious.

this is my favorite one. we look so in love.

thanks, jessica for taking the pictures and working so hard on them. we love them all so much.

its not always raining in seattlethis past weekend, my bestest friend came to visit us. jocelyn was so sweet to come all the way from san francisco to meet tagg. we had a great time while she was here. on our first day i took her to my favorite lunch spot, (the infamous cuban sandwich place) university village, pike place, and.......

da da da daaaa..... OUTBACK, of course.

we also made a batch of our favorite cookies. jocelyn enlightened me with this new little technique...... rolling the second batch of dough into balls beforehand. she is such an efficient cookie maker.

what a cute couple. we had a complete blast showing her our favorite places in seattle. jocelyn was a trooper when i had to take breaks for "feedings" and naps.

tagg loved her! thanks, auntie joce, for coming to visit us. until next time..........party on.

we are addicted

i am positive that tagg is already addicted to outback's food. from getting it constantly while he was in my belly to having it infused with his milk.... he must love it as much as i do!

my aunt, megan, calls herself the "baby whisperer". i have loved watching her and tagg bond. it is a side of megan that one rarely sees, but tagg sure does bring the lovey/dovey-megan out!

we had to bring my aunt, brooke, and my grandma to our favorite haunt! brooke said that every time she talks to one of us on the phone we are having a great time at outback, so she had to experience it for herself.

i am sure that when the servers see our mugs come through the front doors they run for the hills. we try to tip well to make up for our complete freak show.

stop by the kirkland outback at around 6.30pm on any given friday...... we'll be there.

the blessingtagg was blessed (craig did an excellent job!) yesterday. we were lucky eoungh to share the special day with lots of friends and family. i especially miss my brother, taylor, on occasions like this....

the girls! (we love/missed you, shanna) we all decided that tagg's blessing day was a great justification for new dresses. right?

our sweet little family. tagg was such a good boy during his actual blessing. i heard his pacifier drop on the ground right before craig was about to start, so i was sure we were all in for it..... but tagg didnt make a sound and everything turned out great.

my mom thinks that craig's face in this picture is creepy. like his little smirk is saying "haha, look at what i made." i however, choose to look at it as though craig is thinking "i love this boy."

the happy smiths.

tagg, in his blessing outfit. he looked too cute in his little bubble. i was incredibly proud of him for not throwing up on it. what an accomplishment.

he was pretty proud of himself too!

he looks a wee-bit crossed eyed here, but i still love it! this picture was taken while we all waited for the big family dinner to be made. it was scrumptious! thanks megan.

later that night, we had a few close friends come over for dessert. this picture was taken before the kids ransacked the place and ate everything. honestly, by the end of the night it looked as though a bomb had gone off! it was great fun, we love entertaining.

tagg had had a big day. he was such a good boy throughout it all... who can blame him for not wanting another picture taken?

my dad is very proud of his little grandson.

my mom worked hard to make our day special, from helping with dinner to hosting a party at her house. we love her so much and feel blessed that we are only one staircase away!

me, with my baby. i love tagg. being a mom is such a fun experience....... i am thinking about doing it again someday.

tagg's baby shower

last night was tagg's long-awaited baby shower. my dear friend, nan, made these adorable invitations for it. jessica and becky did an absolutely fabulous job throwing the whole thing. it was a complete blast!

kirsten, me, and jill. i loved catching up with my friends. tagg was a huge trooper throughout the entire night. i never heard him make a peep! he just got passed around from lady to lady and loved every minute of it.

earlier that day, my mom and i were at the mall. she was holding tagg when a lady walked by and said, "wow, you look great for just having a baby!" my mom then proceeded to tell her that the baby was actually her grandson and that's when she was really blown away. all i can say is that i hope i look half as beautiful as my mom does when i am her age!

the sweet rands/kettle family. they put so much time into my shower, it was amazing. also, jessica's little boy, max, is about the cutest thing i have ever seen. i love him.

my auntie brooke and janice, sitting around while i opened presents. nan made the little sign above their heads. it was made out of a bunch of pictures of tagg that she decoupaged onto the letters. so adorable.

there is tagg, just being a good boy.

the genius theme for the shower was baby birds in nests. everything matched down to the smallest details and it was all so beautiful. the food was great and the decorations would have made martha stewart chartreuse with envy.

i received a ton of amazing gifts at the shower. but only one brought me to tears...... my grandma made this beautiful quilt for tagg. she had everyone in the family write a wish for tagg on a fabric square. she then pieced all of the squares together to make this fantastic keepsake. i/tagg will cherish this forever.

my mom did it again! she surprised me, at the shower, with this quilt for tagg. i am in love with all of the colors she used in it. perfection! tagg and i had a great time at his shower. we are so blessed.
